Our member growers are widely spread throughout South and Southern Africa with the highest concentrations of greenhouse production being situated around the main centers of Gauteng and the Western Cape, and big growth seen in the industry in other areas notably Kwazulu Natal, the West coast, Eastern Cape and the Northern Province.

The main objective of IASA is to disseminate useful and practical information to member growers.  Information on local growing systems, crops, management of crops, problem areas, etc has been built up over the years.  Members have the further advantage of telephonic production assistance through our secretariat, contacts in the industry, as well as production and other information from our vast database at a nominal cost.  A new system, which was instigated in 2003, is the “green pages” directory of contacts for input items needed for successful production (e.g. fertilizer companies, plastic suppliers, greenhouse suppliers and supplies etc.).  This directory is distributed annually to members.
